Social Media Marketing
Entering the Social Media World
Anyone can create a Facebook page or start a Twitter account, but people (and companies) often dive in to social media marketing without first thinking about whether or not they should. Simply because it's free does not mean that social media is the right channel for everyone, and not every industry or organization can expect the same level of success.
Sometimes a brand will have difficulty finding success through the obvious outlets, namely Facebook and Twitter. ACME Used Office Supply, for example, might be a booming business but would gain very little from a Facebook fan page. This fictional company could find huge success, however, with daily Groupon deals or another a weekly blog about new trends in office decor.
Our approach to social media marketing is defining your message with a content strategy and getting it to the people who want it.
Fans of Facebook
There's no denying that Facebook has become a prime environment for customers to engage brands in a whole new way. From Burger King to Old Spice, Facebook fan pages and applications are becoming an integral part of social network marketing. But getting attention isn't enough to justify a Facebook campaign. You may end up with X followers, but what's the next step?
We use always use Facebook as part of a larger marketing plan, as a way to get customers to the next step whether it's filling out a contact form or buying a product – all of which is tracked with analytics. Social media marketing is about connecting what you already do to the social media world.
Tweeting, Posting and Blogging
For social media marketing strategies that revolve around fresh, unique content, frequency is the key to success. Twitter followers crave new content – and it's up to every tweeter to stay on top of their publishing schedule. We'll help identify your capacity, whether it's 10 minutes a week for a CEO or a whole team of writers tweeting and blogging every day, and develop a plan to keep you on track to keep the followers coming back for more.
