The Digital Nonprofit: Doing More With Less

Doing more with less is a mantra for every business, particularly nonprofit organizations. Every day, nonprofits face unique challenges while working towards a substantive mission with a small, dedicated staff and a shoestring budget.

On September, 22nd Elevated Third partnered with Acquia to host “Digital Marketing: Do More With Less,” an educational networking event, which helped nonprofit and higher education organizations leverage digital.View PresentationNonprofit and higher ed thought leaders came together to hear from Elevated Third’s Creative Director, Judd Mercer and UX/Content strategist, Jill Farley. Our speakers have a combined 25 years of experience helping a diverse spectrum of nonprofits with digital work.

A five year running, in-kind partnership between Elevated Third and the Gardens exchanges web development and maintenance for Gardens’ perks like tickets and event space. It is these types of nonprofit relationships that motivated us to host events that connect the leaders behind the missions. We are proud to foster a spirit of connection in the nonprofit and higher education space.

We find particular success helping the nonprofit sector untangle their digital dilemmas. We hope to transform a site visitor into a cause supporter who is motivated to take meaningful action. Not only are these problems unique, but they require a special type of thinking, a type of thinking that does not put money before everything. Instead, nonprofit work allows us to put mission, passion, and drive first, and connect with some of the most dedicated people out there. We are glad to support a client base that is made up of many nonprofit and higher education organizations. Check out some of our recent work with Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies, Denver Botanic Gardens, and Rise Above Colorado. We look out for programs that connect our Drupal developers, designers, and out-of-the-box thinkers to their community, and take on several pro bono projects each year.

We recently completed a pro bono Drupal 8 project for rockstar client, Youth On Record. Youth on Record is dedicated to empowering high school students, especially those at-risk and underprivileged, to succeed in their future through musical programs. Our prevailing goal with this site redesign was to help Youth On Record access a broader audience who would continue to contribute to the organization in valuable ways. The new Drupal 8 site launched in July and has since shown huge success.
