Elevated Third is proud to announce the launch of the responsive Denver Botanic Gardens’ website.

The website houses a massive amount of information including a calendar of events, class and program information, gardening resources and sections dedicated to the various departments found at the gardens.

The biggest update to the website as part of the overhaul was to make the site responsive. Having a responsive website allows mobile, tablet and desktop users to each have a universal optimal user experience. Using the same look and feel, the Elevated Third design team created  new elements and components designed for a mobile screen size.

Elevated Third performed an analysis of the existing site and components as well as a competitive analysis on similar websites. To better tailor the site for responsive, the digital agency focused on the UI and took existing components such as navigation and any type of filtering controls and created mobile counterparts. To create an overall cohesive user experience in terms of content design, several components of the site were standardized.

Along with the front-facing changes, the digital agency rebuilt the backend of the site to clean up outdated and unused pieces to help improve overall site performance.

About Denver Botanic Gardens: Green inside and out, Denver Botanic Gardens began in 1951 and is considered one of the top botanical gardens in the United States and a pioneer in water conservation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Gardens’ living collections encompass specimens from the tropics to the tundra, showcasing a plant palette chosen to thrive in Colorado’s semi-arid climate. The Gardens' dynamic, 24-acre urban oasis in the heart of the city offers unforgettable opportunities to flourish with unique garden experiences for the whole family – as well as world-class education and plant conservation research programs. Additional sites extend this experience throughout the Front Range: Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield is a 750-acre native plant refuge with an active farm in Jefferson County; Mount Goliath is a high-altitude trail and interpretive site on the Mount Evans Scenic Byway.
