Elevated Third Wins 2021 Acquia Engage Award

ArticleOctober 26, 2021

Denver, Colorado – 10/26/21 – Elevated Third today announced it has won a 2021 Acquia Engage Award for Best ROI with the work it did for Clean EarthThe Acquia Engage Awards recognize high-impact digital experiences that organizations around the world are building with the Acquia Open Digital Experience Platform (DXP), including Drupal Cloud and Marketing Cloud. Winners demonstrate an advanced level of functionality, integration, performance and user experience.

Clean Earth is a specialty waste company in the United States that operates the largest network of Treatment Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs)  in the country.

Since 1990, Clean Earth has grown by acquiring new brands, most recently adding Stericycle’s Environmental Solutions. After undergoing a significant rebrand, Clean Earth needed much more than a website—it needed a B2B marketing engine that would produce leads and help the business continue to grow. We knew that re-platforming on Drupal and an extensive redesign process based on B2B UX best practices could elevate the site.

After clearly communicating the value of Clean Earth’s services to users and improving navigation and location pages for increased discoverability, Clean Earth saw a 35% decrease in page load times and a 24% increase in page views within the first two months.

Drupal’s out-of-the-box performance was made even better by Acquia’s tuned infrastructure. With Acquia Cloud, Clean Earth also saw measurable gains in site performance, including a 44% decrease in server connection time and a 76% increase in server response time. This led to both improved organic rankings and direct conversions. Leveraging Acquia Cloud also gives users the advantage of a smoother dev and deployment process, ultimately making the best use of client budgets.

Most importantly, Clean Earth experienced a 70% increase in requests for pricing quotes (compared to year-over-year), with each month setting a new record for quote requests through the website.

“Acquia Engage is like the Academy Awards of Drupal. It's an honor to be nominated (even if we don't end up winning Best Picture) and Acquia Engage is a nice way to celebrate some of the hard work our teams have done over the year. Likewise, it's always nice to see the great work from other agencies in the Drupal space," said Judd Mercer, creative strategy director at Elevated Third.

“Showcasing the most impressive digital experiences, across industries and geographies, is a highlight of Acquia Engage,” said Lynne Capozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Acquia. “Each customer’s story demonstrates the impact that creatively designed and thoroughly executed digital experiences can have on customer engagement and organizational performance.”

Many of this year’s Engage Award winners collaborate with one of more than 600 Acquia partners for specialized Drupal development and integration work, industry expertise or digital strategy.

Acquia empowers the world’s most ambitious brands to create digital customer experiences that matter. With open-source Drupal at its core, the Acquia Open DXP enables marketers, developers, and IT operations teams at thousands of global organizations to rapidly compose and deploy digital products and services that engage customers, enhance conversions and help businesses stand out.
